THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL ALL OVER THE COUNTRY: 

Parrots do adapt to seasonal changes quite well in the wild but; sudden drops in temperatures, such as the southern and western US have been experiencing is very dangerous for our fids.  Folks who live in normally warmer climates tend not to be prepared for these extreme temperatures that seem to be plaguing us this year.  Here are a few tips for your fids health, safety and comfort while the temperatures are trying to put frost on their tail feathers.

     LEGISLATIVE NEWS:

While there has been no page turning on HR 669 - It will most likely return in another form, either later this year or next, according to many pet industry lobbyists who are keeping a close watch of this or any like bill to hit the house floor.  Meanwhile, I can't stress enough the bill which brought Florida's feral Constrictor problem to Capitol Hill, needs to watched closely, because, once the door is open for the federal government to have jurisdiction over state animal issues, the handwriting will pretty much be on the proverbial wall.  It may help one state garner federal funds to fix a rampant problem, but; other states will be looking to the Federal Government to make their state bird laws nationally ironclad.

Now fer dis special recipe dat ure hoomans can make fer ya real quick and it is gud, gud, ta eats and gud fer ya two.

Hab ure hooman make some oatymeal wibout sugar or stuff awrready in it.  Hab dem put fresh sticky raisins in it when it is cooking and hab dem make it wheel thick.  After it is awl cooked and cool enuff ta touch, hab dem take a poon and scoop owt a wittle ta make a round ball wib, like a neuterberry.  After all de oatymeal and waisuns are in wittle balls, hab dem roll dem balls in woasted or huney woasted wheat germ fwakes.  Dey bees warmy and ready fer yer tummy.  De weftober ones get cubbered in a bowl in da cool box tingy and ure hooman can take enuff out ebery day fer yew and warmie dem up in a zippy bag sitting in hot water.  Dunt yews da micky wave tingy cause da middles will get too hot and burn a birbie tung.
